If you have read my previous post that introduced affiliate marketing, this guide will help you get started as an affiliate marketer. If you get it right from the basics, you can also make money from affiliate marketing just like me.
So far, I suppose you already know the basics of affiliate marketing and if you do not know, check out the Affiliate Marketing FAQ here. There are lots of ways in which internet marketers approach affiliate marketing, and I have my method as well. I will be sharing how I started affiliate marketing and so far I can confidently say that it’s working and that it will work for you as well.
What you Need to Start Affiliate Marketing:
I shared all the important links below to become a master of affiliate marketing, but first let’s take the small steps that will help you understand the basics.
I would have loved to talk about the affiliate products first of all but realized that it is more important to talk first about the promotion channel. You can promote any product on different platforms, such as Facebook, Google, etc.
What I prefer is and I suggest it to others: use a blog for affiliate marketing. Promoting a product on your own blog will help you to keep earning affiliate commissions in the long run; and also you can make more money from your blog using other methods. It’s a good idea to learn about other methods as I mentioned earlier, but the blog should be part of your promotion channel. I shared a link at the end so you can understand how you can use your blog to promote affiliate products.
Choose the Right Product and Marketplace:

If you are someone who love to provide value; I suggest you choose a product that you use personally or that you want to use. Else, you can always be a good reviewer and use the product to give your opinion and review. Many of the product on the online market have affiliate programs that anyone can join for free.
Make sure to select the best product depending on your niche. Otherwise, you may receive more than 10,000 clicks, but your conversion rates will be 0%. Here is a handy guide for learning how to choose good affiliate products for your blog.
To sell any product, you need to create a sales pitch. The sales pitch can either be a blog post or it can be a static web page. Most companies will give you a landing page for the product. When creating a sales pitch in simple words, you must inform your readers what they are getting in return for their investment. What you should consider before choosing your product is who your audience will be, if you have a current audience related to the same product, or you have to start from the beginning. In either case, your approach will be different.
